Champion-bred Akita needs some room to roam. She comes with 7 lessons left (all paid for, worth $100 each) at Off Leash Dog Training, a top rated training academy for dogs. All shots up to date, loaded with toys, etc. Mya has AKC papers with a 4 generation pedigree chart outlining her lineage. Her AKC Name is "Empress Amaya, Keeper of the Castle." "Amaya" is Japanese for "Black Rain." Mya is almost 2 now (on March 30th), and has grown to be near 100 lbs. She has been recently spayed. Mya's lineage is 4 generations of champion akitas -- every single breeding pair had at least one parent and in most cases, both parents were champions.
Although Mya is not hyper, she needs some room to roam. I live in a townhouse and she desperately wants more time outside and on walks. If you know Akitas, they are protective in their own territory, so you should be familiar with Akitas before you adopt one. I would not recommend children and definitely no other dogs -- Mya has to be leader of the pack.
The picture of Mya in the snow was this latest snow we had in Northern Virginia just a few days ago, so you can see how big Mya has gotten.
